Singer-songwriter Roy Kim once again caught attention with an autumn photo spread full of "boyish charm."
Roy Kim (real name Kim Sang-woo) exuded the charm of a "boy who traveled back in time" to the fullest in the Man Noblesse October issue photo spread released on the 1st. Within various concepts and styling, he showcased a wide spectrum from the freedom of youth to a mature atmosphere, revealing a distinctive presence.
In this photo spread, Roy Kim mixed and matched preppy looks to create a sporty yet classic mood, and through silk and velvet garments he expressed the charisma of a rock star who overwhelms the stage, digesting different styles in his own color and showing the essence of "boyish charm."
In an interview conducted along with the photo shoot, Roy Kim candidly shared his philosophy on music. He said, "I didn't major in music, so it's embarrassing to talk about 'musical doctrines,' but I just sing the stories I can tell," adding, "When I'm having a hard time, when I want comfort, when I'm filled with thoughts that torment myself, making those thoughts disappear even a little seems to be the best I can do."
He also said about recently writing songs for singer Lim Young-woong and actor Choo Young-Woo, "If I have 100 songs written down, fewer than 30 make it out into the world. When requests come in, there's the fun of rediscovering a song thinking, 'Oh, right, I had a song like this,' and the process of writing a new song while imagining the requester is enjoyable."
He went on to reveal his values, saying, "If I had to define a man, he would be a being who has awakened the world a bit more, but if that is the arrogance of 'I now know the world,' I want to live as a boy until I die."
In this photo spread that captured the timeless purity, mature masculinity and even the inner side of the artist, Roy Kim once again showed a new definition of the word "boyish charm."
Meanwhile, Roy Kim will hold a solo concert, "2025-26 Roy Kim Live Tour 'Ja, Daumm' (ja, daumm)," from Dec. 12 to 14 at the Ticketlink Live Arena (Olympic Handball Gymnasium) in Bangi-dong, Seoul. The performance carries a message to look back on past time and envision the coming year together.
