'Radio Star' actor Bong Tae-gyu drew attention by mentioning the controversial film 'Garujigi'.
On the 1st episode aired, MBC variety show 'Radio Star' featured actor Bong Tae-gyu. Kim Gura once had a history of making frequent remarks about the film 'Garujigi' in which Bong Tae-gyu grants, which angered Bong Tae-gyu.
Now slightly tamer, Bong Tae-gyu said "back then 'Radio Star' wasn't it spicy?" while showing he was no pushover. At the same time, he joked about 'Garujigi', saying "I also gained something."
Currently, Bong Tae-gyu is represented by a company founded by Song Eun-i. When fellow agency actor Ok Ja-yeon said "I did 'Witch stamina basketball club.' Back then I gained people like Song Eun-i," Bong Tae-gyu joked once more, "There is honor for 'Garujigi.' Rather than saying I gained people, I just felt something."
Kim Gura asked, "Bong Tae-gyu has been through several actor agencies, why did he go to Song Eun-i's company?" For Bong Tae-gyu, who had left a strong impression since his debut, the move to Song Eun-i's agency was quite a radical step. Bong Tae-gyu expressed his ambitions, saying, "There were only actor agencies, so there was no one to discuss variety shows with. But Song Eun-i consulted with me and suggested trying something about variety shows. She said she thought she could do something fun with me. Isn't it like she's doing it just for me, not for another actor?"
However, Bong Tae-gyu said, "I had desire when I signed with Song Eun-i. There was a synergy Song Eun-i showed. I thought it would go well. You know what I mean," and added, "But shortly after signing, during an interview about another actor, they said 'among entertainers choosing our office, none sign just to become famous.'" He reiterated, "I wanted to do well."
Song Eun-i, who appeared with him, said, "I think I know what you mean; it was about putting ambition aside and trying our best," sounding embarrassed.
Bong Tae-gyu said cautiously, "I wondered if it would be awkward if I alone spoke honestly about these things," then spoke frankly, "Whether there is work or not, my mind is at ease."
Toward the end of the talk, the subject of the film 'Garujigi' came up. Bong Tae-gyu surprised everyone by saying, "Tablo was the second choice for 'Garujigi' casting."
Bong Tae-gyu said, "I considered a rustic name like Byeon Gang-soe," and talked about the shocking scenes, saying, "The final scene was about releasing the deep grudge of the sorrowful bear." He said, "The elders who saw 'Garujigi' gave it a thumbs-up," and Kim Gura, unable to contain his curiosity, asked, "What happened to the final bear?"
Bong Tae-gyu confessed boldly, saying, "We made a bear costume and cast someone good at solo mime. To make it even funnier, we put weights on it and had them compete," turning the studio upside down.
