MLB has taken a shine to CORTIS.
On Oct. 1, MLB released a postseason promotional video on its official TikTok account that included the intro track "GO!" from CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho)'s debut album. It also drew attention by posting the phrase "Time to color outside the lines The NL Wild Card begins today," quoting the team's debut album title "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES."
The National League (NL) wild-card series marks the start of the postseason, known as "fall baseball." Local fans are famous for their passionate cheering. News that LA Dodgers player Kim Hye-seong was included on the roster became a major topic in Korea. The use of a K-pop rookie group's song and debut album title to promote such an important event shows the high level of interest in CORTIS.
Starting with the video released on Oct. 1, "GO!" will be included in numerous clips, including highlights from the 2025 MLB postseason. Videos featuring the song will be broadcast on social media as well as TV, podcasts, online streaming, radio and in stadiums.
CORTIS's potential in the U.S. market was already proven by Billboard. "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES" debuted at No. 15 on the main album chart, the Billboard 200 (Sept. 27 issue), and remained on the chart for two consecutive weeks. "GO!" rose five spots from the previous week to No. 175 on the latest Billboard song chart, the Global 200 (Oct. 4 issue). Also, 17.4% of CORTIS's monthly listeners on Spotify (listeners over the past 28 days) are from the United States, the highest share among all countries. Even though official activities for their debut album have ended, CORTIS continues to receive strong attention in overseas music markets, showing the momentum of this year's top rookie.
