A popular cheerleader Kim Yeon-jung, known as "Kyungsung University Jun Ji-hyun," "Daejeon Min Hyo-rin" and one of the "three stadium goddesses," will marry Hanwha Eagles infielder Ha Joo-seok this December.
The marriage of Kim Yeon-jung and Ha Joo-seok was revealed on the 1st. During the broadcast of the Hanwha Eagles and SSG Landers game at Incheon SSG Landers Field in the 2025 KBO League, when Ha Joo-seok came to bat, MBC commentator Jung Min-chul said "there is a wedding after the season," drawing attention.
Afterward, online speculation that Ha Joo-seok's fiancée was Kim Yeon-jung spread rapidly, and when Ha Joo-seok handed out wedding invitations it was confirmed that the two will marry this December.
Kim Yeon-jung drew attention as one of the "three stadium goddesses" alongside Park Ki-ryang and Kang Yoon-yi. Kim Yeon-jung debuted in 2007 as a cheerleader for Ulsan Mobiis Fever and was called "Kyungsung University Jun Ji-hyun" for her resemblance to actress Jun Ji-hyun. Standing 172 cm tall and noted for an appearance similar to Jun Ji-hyun, Kim Yeon-jung played for the Hanwha Eagles (2009-2011), Lotte Giants (2012), NC Dinos (2013-2016) and has been active again as a Hanwha Eagles cheerleader since 2017.
Ha Joo-seok joined the Hanwha Eagles as the No. 1 overall pick in the first round of the 2012 rookie draft. He faced ups and downs amid controversies such as drunk driving and bench clearing, but as the starting shortstop and team captain he remained with the Hanwha Eagles by signing a free agent contract worth a total of 110 million won ahead of this season. In the latter half of this season he posted a .314 batting average and helped the team reach the postseason for the first time in seven years.
