Australian entertainer Sam Hammington was revealed to have attended the language institute of Korea University.
The MBC show Get Me! Homes (hereinafter Homes), airing on the 2nd, stages a campus scouting round 3 match-up between Yonsei University and Korea University, and between Korea University and Yonsei University.
This episode, the third campus scouting installment following Seoul National University and KAIST, features the scouting showdown between Yonsei University and Korea University. Among the many fall festivals, there is a traditional rivalry, a friendly event the two schools hold every autumn. Since the first matchup in 1927, and after both schools were elevated to universities in 1946, the framework for the Yonko and Goyeon games was completed in 1965. Park Na-rae introduced the segment, saying, "To mark the 60th anniversary this year of the two schools' sports rivalry, we present the Yonsei University and Korea University scouting showdown."
Yonsei vs. Korea University, Anam vs. Sinchon scouting: Yang Se-hyung, Yang Se-chan and entertainer Sam Hammington reunite for the first time since the new semester special.
The three moved to Anam-dong in Seongbuk District for the Korea University scouting. Korea University began in 1905 as Boseong Professional School and is the country's first modern higher education institution, a private nationalist school with a 120-year history. Also, because the campus is large, it features two subway stations, Anam Station and Korea University Station.
While touring the campus, Sam Hammington said, "I attended school until '98~'99. Back then Line 6 of the subway didn't even run, and we exercised on a sandy athletic field; it has changed so much. It's gotten so much better." and repeatedly expressed his amazement.
The place they found was Korea University's underground campus, which was reportedly the first of its kind built in the country in 2002. Yang Se-hyung introduced it, saying, "They created an underground campus to make the most of the on-campus land, and because the interior resembles COEX it's nicknamed 'KoEX.'" After touring the underground campus, the three were said to be unable to take their eyes off the various shops and the school goods store lining it.
Afterward, they met a medical student and a sociology student at Democracy Square, which symbolizes Korea University, and spoke with them. On a whim, the three visited the boarding house where the sociology student lives to look inside. When a Korea University student confessed, "I dream of becoming the second Yoo Jae-seok. I want to be on TV in the future," the Yang brothers advised, "Get into a lot of trouble from now on! And if you jot it down, later you can use everything as episodes."
Yang Se-hyung and Yang Se-chan moved toward the back gate of Korea University Law School. The two met Choi Pil-geum, the doyenne of the boarding house world, known as "the mother of Korea University students." She, who started the boarding house in a small one-room 40 years ago, said she still feels rewarded when students come to see her, drawing attention with her remarks.
