In "Our baby is born again" (hereafter "Our Baby"), a pregnant woman carrying a child of a husband with azoospermia and 0% chance of pregnancy became a hot topic. The paternity test results will be reported next week.
On the Sept. 30 broadcast of TV CHOSUN's "Our baby is born again" (hereafter "Our Baby"), a couple in which the husband has azoospermia but the wife is pregnant appeared.
On that day, Park Soo-hong began, "Can this be broadcast? This is a topic that could even go overseas," looking bewildered from the start. The story was a scoop among scoops directly reported by the pregnant woman. Kim Chan-woo also sympathized, saying, "I've never heard a story like this."
They headed to the restaurant run by the pregnant woman. The two went to meet her that day. The woman who had submitted the story in person appeared; she was 38 weeks pregnant. When asked why she applied, she said, "My husband and I were baffled, floored and amazed; we wondered if this could happen, so we even had tests but they said there were no sperm," adding, "Even if that doctor wasn't wrong..." Park Soo-hong reacted, "He wasn't wrong? Really? Could that really be?" in astonishment. Park Soo-hong said, "I'm not the type to pry into family matters, I'm sorry," looking embarrassed.
They noted that even if pregnancy can be possible right after a vasectomy, it was 14 years ago so it was long past. When asked if the couple had a good relationship, the woman replied, "No, not really," prompting laughter as the story grew more puzzling the more they probed.
The woman is currently 43. She became pregnant with her fourth child after 18 years. Coincidentally, the husband with azoospermia appeared. Park Soo-hong was stunned. The hospital reportedly said the pregnancy probability was 0%. In a situation where pregnancy was supposedly impossible, the husband said there was even talk of a paternity test with his wife. The wife said, "If it's his child, I told him to pack up and leave," and recounted, "When I put the husband's hand on the baby, it didn't move; they said it was because he wasn't the father," expressing her hurt, to which Park Soo-hong replied, "You're joking, right?" looking at a loss.
The wife said, "The doctor said if this is a pregnancy, it would mean I'm cheating; it's not real, I wanted to believe it was wrong," and the husband said meaningfully, "Even if we do a paternity test, I'm not sure it's my child... we'll know when it's born."
Curiosity about the truth of this couple was raised, and they said they will reveal the paternity test results next week.<
