The character of webtoon artist and broadcaster Kian84 is being reexamined. Though he is sometimes seen as eccentric and labeled a "weirdo," his humanity is judged to be "genuine."
On the 26th, the MBC program Home Alone aired footage of Park Na-rae sorting through her late grandparents' house.
In the episode, while Park Na-rae arrived first at her grandparents' house and began organizing as she recalled memories, Jun Hyun-moo and Kian84 went down to Mokpo to help Park Na-rae. It was the first time in about eight years since "Summer Na-rae School" that Jun Hyun-moo and Kian84 returned to Park Na-rae's grandparents' house, and they were overcome with emotion as they remembered those times.
Jun Hyun-moo and Kian84 helped Park Na-rae by lifting and moving heavy furniture, clearing out waste and doing household chores. During this, Kian84 suffered from plant toxin rash. He appeared to have sensitive skin and endured itching and pain, but he quietly helped Park Na-rae and shared in her sadness.
The fact that Kian84 had a plant toxin rash was briefly shown on the broadcast, but its severity was not known. Meanwhile, a video on Kian84's YouTube channel "Life84" released on the 30th revealed that Kian84 was still suffering from the plant toxin rash.
Kian84, who planned a trip for his mother who was deeply saddened after their pet passed away, could not endure the itching from the plant toxin rash in the cabin. In footage captured on camera, Kian84 had inflammation from the plant toxin rash from his arms to his back. His mother was greatly alarmed by his condition and sadly applied ointment herself. But in narration Kian84 merely said, "A while ago I was cutting grass and got a lot of plant toxin rash, and my mother put medicine on it."
Although Kian84 is judged a "weirdo" for his somewhat odd and quirky behavior, the reason responses pour in saying he is genuinely good inside is clear. He may seem like an oddball, but people are once again spotlighting that he is truly a good person. For him, the "plant toxin rash" was not just an itch but a wound of friendship and honor.
