Television personality Jung Ga-eun explained why she is living a second life as a taxi driver.
On the 1st, the YouTube channel "A-grade Jang Young-ran" uploaded a video titled "'Lookalike of Song Hye-kyo' Jung Ga-eun's second life chosen after divorce (close friend Jang Young-ran shocked)."
On the day, Jang Young-ran met Jung Ga-eun, who is living a second life as a taxi driver. Jang Young-ran asked, "Is it deducted from my salary?" when told the company would cover fuel costs.
Jung Ga-eun said, "I'm not on a salary; I'm part-time," and drew attention by revealing the taxi driver's license she obtained on April 17.
Jang Young-ran asked, "Did you pass on the first try?" and Jung Ga-eun replied, "Of course I had to pass on the first try. Unlike a regular driver's license, it was really difficult. From the first question my head went numb and went blank. It was very hard."
Then Jang Young-ran suddenly asked why she became a taxi driver. Jung Ga-eun answered, "Because my father also drove a taxi for a long time, and I like driving and thought it would be fun."
She added regarding her father's opposition, "The job of a taxi driver isn't easy. Sometimes people treat you carelessly, so my father was worried."
Jang Young-ran said, "People really cheer for you for not settling in the present and challenging something new," and Jung Ga-eun laughed, "I can't settle. I'm the head of the household. Aren't all heads of households like that?"
Meanwhile, Jung Ga-eun has been raising her daughter alone since her divorce in 2018.
