(Continued from interview ②) Oh Eui-sik shared a good story about Im Yoon-ah.
1st at a cafe in Gangnam, Seoul, an interview was held with Oh Eui-sik, an actor in the tvN series Bon Appetit, Your Majesty.
tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama Bon Appetit, Your Majesty is a survival fantasy romantic comedy in which a chef who time-slips to the past at his prime meets the kingdom's worst tyrant and owner of an absolute sense of taste, and it concluded with episode 12 on the 28th.
In the drama, Oh Eui-sik delivered a passionate performance as Do Seung-ji Im Song-jae, a notorious traitor and loyal servant to Lee Heon who met a heroic death. He played an active role at the right moments and emerged as a key ingredient in Bon Appetit, Your Majesty.
When he especially mentioned Im Yoon-ah, with whom he shared many scenes, saying that "praises are pouring in," he replied, "I guess what was going to come out has come out," drawing laughter.
He went on to say about Im Yoon-ah, "Yoon-ah, I've watched her since Big Mouth. You can feel her depth. As a singer and as an actor, she has been at the top for a long time. You can feel the depth from the time she achieved and endured that top position for a long time. She is solid. Should I say she is unshakable?"
He added, "Even when she had hard, sad, or bad times, she overcame them without wavering, but conversely, people are more troubled when things are going well. When people receive a lot of praise, they are bound to be shaken, which I personally think is a more dangerous state. Even then, that friend does not waver."
He continued, "I thought the set would be tough, but I've never seen Yoon-ah show difficulty. She never showed she was having a hard time and was always smiling. I'm not saying this to tell a flattering story. It's really true. She's the lead in the toughest position, isn't she? She feels uncomfortable with courtesies she might be entitled to. Even when she could have delayed her schedule because she was tired, she would go along with the original plan. What a wonderful friend. I'm more excited to see her take leading roles in the future. I thought a work led by her would be completed with good energy," and he shared more praise.
Regarding their acting chemistry, he said, "It's very good. I feel at ease. When I think about scenes where I meet Yoon-ah, they are flexible. Clear yet flexible. I started going to the set with anticipation for scenes we would do together," adding, "We're actually comfortable with each other in real life, so I think our rhythms matched well," which created a warm feeling.<
