Singer Shin Yu is joining MBN's large-scale audition program 'Mumyeongjeonseol - trot men's hierarchy war' (hereafter "Mumyeongjeonseol") as a legend.
On the 1st, MBN said Shin Yu was selected as a "legend" of "Mumyeongjeonseol," following Nam Jin, Jo Hang-jo, and Joo Hyun-mi. In an interview with production staff, Shin Yu said, "If I had watched the stage as an audition master until now, since King of Singers 2 I have understood the hearts of younger singers better than anyone else. Because I have experienced it, I will be able to speak more sharply," he said, foreshadowing the birth of a cold, brutally honest master.
Along with the news of Shin Yu's selection as a legend, a new teaser for "Mumyeongjeonseol" was also released. In the released video, Shin Yu raised tension by sitting in the last chair with an empty nameplate among chairs engraved with the names of legends such as "Patty Kim, Lee Mi-ja, Nam Jin, Na Hoon-a, Cho Yong-pil, Shim Soo-bong, Seol Woon-do, Jo Hang-jo, Joo Hyun-mi, Jang Yoon-jeong." He then stood up from his seat, gestured toward the camera and said, "The owner of this seat is you," forecasting the birth of the next legend to lead the trot world.
Shin Yu is an 18-year veteran singer who debuted with numerous hits such as "Sleeping Beauty," "Clock Hands," "Ban," "Juliet," and "Ilsoilso Ilnoilno," boasting an idol-level fandom and has been called the trot world's EXO. Mentioned as the original idol of the trot world, Shin Yu, who served as a master on "Burning Trotman" and as a special national producer on King of Singers, recently took the stage as a contestant on King of Singers 2 and personally experienced the tension and desperation of fierce competition.
