The Monday variety show powerhouse 'If you rest well, that's good' will take a short break for reorganization.
MBC variety program 'If you rest well, that's good' (hereafter 'If You Rest') will wrap up its season on Nov. 17. The production team said, "The program will be reorganized during the winter and we plan to return to viewers next spring with a new season."
'If You Rest,' which premiered in April last year, drew major attention with its original concept of a "0.5-star deserted island check-in reality" in which 'An CEO' Ahn Jung-hwan renovates abandoned island houses and invites viewers. Then, starting that winter, it expanded into a deserted island restaurant format, further increasing the show's entertainment and scale.
Above all, 'If You Rest' solidified its position as the undisputed "Monday variety show powerhouse" by ranking No. 1 in Monday variety show ratings throughout its broadcast. It received steady love by delivering fresh planning, new guests each episode and a variety of dishes that can only be tasted on a deserted island.
In this regard, the 'If You Rest' production team said, "Thanks to the support viewers have shown, this season received great love. Please look forward to and show much interest in the new season returning next spring in a more new and upgraded form."
Meanwhile, MBC's 'If you rest well, that's good' airs every Monday at 9 p.m. During the Chuseok holiday on Oct. 6, it will air 50 minutes earlier at 8:10 p.m.
