"Global super rookie" izna opens a new chapter with a new record that captures musical growth.
izna will release her second mini album Not Just Pretty (낫 저스트 프리티) today (30th) at 6 p.m. on various online music sites.
This album proves izna's multilayered charm that can no longer be defined by a single image while credit entry the emotions of Generation Z. It melts a variety of nuanced emotions into a single album beyond the frame of "pretty," vividly showing izna's growth and potential.
The title track "Mamma Mia (맘마미아)" is a song that features an addictive sound over a minimal beat. World-class producer Teddy, who has produced numerous K-pop hits, once again took on producing to complete the musical color that suits izna best.
Through "Mamma Mia," izna confidently declares, "I will be who I will be," trusting her own instincts without being shaken by the world's gaze. The intense hook, soaring melody and groovy rhythm combine to maximize izna's explosive energy.
Earlier, izna pre-released a dance challenge for "Mamma Mia," presenting a signature choreography that brings five fingers together to offer a fresh delight. The confidence and energy felt even in the short video raised anticipation for the comeback stage that will soon be unveiled.
Also included are a total of five tracks: "Supercrush (슈퍼크러시)," which sings of a strong attraction that captivates at first sight; "Racecar (레이스카)," which captures the youthful energy charging toward dreams like a racing car; "In the Rain (빗속에서)," which blends dreamy synth-pop sounds with poetic lyrics and lyrical vocals; and "SIGN (사인) (Remix)," a sophisticated remix reinterpretation of an existing song.
izna shows an expanded musical spectrum with a variety of tracks that contain different moods and personalities. Attention is focused on izna's comeback, which is expected to once again demonstrate remarkable growth potential with a well-made album that combines genre diversity and completeness.
Meanwhile, izna will continue active comeback activities through music shows and various content. She will also hold fan concerts "Not Just Pretty" to communicate with fans in both countries at Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Hannam-dong, Seoul, on Nov. 8 and 9, and at Makuhari Event Hall in Chiba Prefecture from Dec. 9 to 10.
