(Continuing from interview ④) Actor Lee Chae-min spoke frankly about his public relationship with Ryu Da-in.
On the morning of the 30th, at a cafe in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a wrap-up interview was held with Lee Chae-min, the lead actor of the tvN weekend drama Bon Appetit, Your Majesty.
Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, based on the popular web novel "Surviving as Yeonsangun's Chef," is a survival fantasy romantic comedy in which a chef who time-slips to the past at the peak of their career meets the worst tyrant and a king with absolute taste.
When asked about the reaction of Ryu Da-in, who is in a public relationship, to the drama's success, Lee Chae-min said, "We don't really talk much about those kinds of projects with each other, so we don't particularly discuss that." He added, "To be honest, I also have nothing to say about that. It's a sensitive matter," and declined to elaborate.
When asked whether he felt any burden acting in a romance while in a public relationship, he said, "Rather than feeling burdened, it actually gives me more passion to immerse myself in the role and do my best to appear as that character. After all, showing more of the character will help viewers immerse themselves, so I try my best and control my mindset."
Regarding the controversy over uploading the same cake photo as Ryu Da-in the previous day and being accused of a 'lovestagram,' Lee Chae-min explained, "There was a lovestagram article yesterday. It's not true. But it made me think that we're getting that much attention."
Meanwhile, Lee Chae-min also drew attention when he appeared at the Bon Appetit, Your Majesty wrap party wearing a ring presumed to be a couple ring. On the matter, he said, "I wore it more as a fashion item than with that intention. I didn't expect photos to be taken there," adding, "If anything, it's my mistake." However, when asked whether the ring was a couple ring, he replied with a laugh, "That's a secret."
