Walking On Thin Ice, which has entered a new phase, released a special poster.
The KBS 2TV series Walking On Thin Ice, which airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m. (directed by Song Hyun-wook / written by Jeon Young-shin / produced by Baram Pictures and Slingshot Studio), raised viewers' expectations once again by revealing a special poster showing Lee Young-ae's striking transformation.
The released poster captures Eun-su's desperate wish to protect only her bag despite her face and hands being covered in wounds. Her eyes staring straight ahead reveal both a resolute will to do anything for her family and a mingling of anxiety and guilt, laying bare Kang Eun-su's complex inner world. The atmosphere, 180 degrees different from the everyday Eun-su shown in earlier posters, foreshadows a new turning point in fate.
In particular, the line used as copy—"I'll do anything. If it's for my family"—is an actual line from the drama that starkly reveals Kang Eun-su's desperate resolve plunged into an extreme situation and a moral dilemma, leaving viewers with a deep aftertaste.
To pay for her husband's medical bills and repay debts, Eun-su began a perilous partnership with her daughter's art instructor Lee Kyung (played by Kim Young-kwang). When unexpected expenditure and crises followed, she had no choice but to propose a second transaction driven by a single determination to protect her family. Lee Young-ae leads the drama with the temperature shifts of a transforming character, control of emotional pacing and subtle facial changes. Viewers are watching to see whether Eun-su, trapped between a rock and a hard place, can protect her family to the end and what conclusion her desperate, dangerous choice will lead to.
Meanwhile, Walking On Thin Ice has scheduled a special airing titled Walking On Thin Ice – binge watch day on Friday, Oct. 3, from 5:15 p.m. to 6:35 p.m.
