Actor Doyu is expected to show new charms in the MBN Wednesday-Thursday miniseries "First Lady."
Doyu's agency Stallion said on the 30th, "Actor Doyu will make her first appearance in episode 4 of the MBN Wednesday-Thursday miniseries 'First Lady.'"
MBN's Wednesday-Thursday miniseries "First Lady" (written by Kim Hyung-wan, directed by Lee Ho-hyeon) is a drama that tells the story that unfolds when an unprecedented incident occurs in which a husband who has been elected president demands a divorce from the wife who will become the first lady.
Doyu plays Cha Jeong-yeon, chairman of the Ha Seong Foundation, who is tightly bound by misplaced resentment. Cha Jeong-yeon is the half sister of Cha Su-yeon (played by Yujin) and was a troublemaker who repeatedly caused various incidents including drunk driving, assault and gambling. She was expected to inherit her father's electoral district but loses everything due to an unexpected incident. Through the opportunist Cha Jeong-yeon, who is wrapped in resentment and twisted guilt, Doyu is expected to heighten the drama's tension.
Earlier, Doyu debuted in 2022 with the drama "From Today, We" and steadily built her filmography by appearing in "The Defects", "The Love Laws of a Metropolis", "The Perfect Marriage Manual", "Family", "The Fabulous", "Unlocking the CEO", and "Final Weapon Alice." Having firmly impressed viewers with her outstanding ability to portray characters, attention is focused on how Doyu will interpret the role of Cha Jeong-yeon in "First Lady."
The MBN Wednesday-Thursday miniseries "First Lady," in which Doyu will deliver a powerful performance, airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:20 p.m.
