YouTuber Shuka World issued an apology over the use of an Ilbe image.
Shuka World said on the 29th on his YouTube channel, "During this week's live stream, an unfortunate incident occurred in which a maliciously manipulated image was broadcast. The image was cleverly altered, so neither the research team's first check nor my second check detected the problem."
He added, "From now on we will assign a staff member solely for verification to establish a three-step review system and check more thoroughly. Also, to express my apology, I will donate 30 million won to the Korean Red Cross's campaign to help descendants of independence activists," apologizing for causing the controversy.
With this, Shuka World has once again been embroiled in controversy over the use of an Ilbe image, following the military rule endorsement controversy and use of materials labeled 'sea of japan'.
