ILLIT member Minju stole the show with a dazzling opening, showcasing a powerful presence at the 2025 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) final.
On the 28th, Minju took the opening stage of the 2025 LCK final at Incheon Inspire Arena and performed the League of Legends (LoL) 2025 season 1–2 cinematic theme songs "Bite Marks" and "Here, Tomorrow."
The LCK is South Korea's official esports league for the globally popular game LoL and is one of the world's most prestigious esports competitions. The LCK final draws about 4 million global fans who watch online each year, demonstrating its high popularity. Minju, the sole opening artist that day, reflected the league's elevated global stature and interest.
A well-known avid LoL fan, Minju's surprise appearance drew enthusiastic cheers from the roughly 10,000 people who filled Inspire Arena. Minju transformed into the LoL champion Katarina, grabbing blades in both hands and entering the battlefield in an opening that immediately captured attention. The powerful performance with dancers to the grand sound of "Bite Marks" completed an overwhelming scene befitting the final.
On the "Here, Tomorrow" stage, Minju's alluring voice shone. LED visuals extending to the stage floor, LoL story symbols realized with AR, and the glow of lightsticks filling the audience combined to create an even more vivid stage. The atmosphere peaked as a large-scale fan performance introducing the two finalist teams followed.
Through her agency Belief Lab, Minju said, "I'm so excited to be entrusted with the opening ceremony of the final for a game I really love and often play," and added, "As both a player and a fan, this was a dream stage, so I prepared hard to make it great. I hope my performance served as encouragement to the players."
LCK officials said, "We pursued this collaboration to showcase the synergy between LoL's game world and the LCK league through Minju's opening ceremony, and to deliver a stage that fans could relate to and go wild over." After Minju's performance, keywords like "Minju" and "Katarina" trended in real time on X (formerly Twitter), drawing a heated response online.
Meanwhile, ILLIT, the group to which Minju belongs, will hold a fan concert titled 2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY ENCORE over two days on Nov. 8–9 at Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa District, Seoul. Following their performance in June, they again proved their strong ticket power by selling out all shows through pre-sales alone.
