Group SHINee member Key (affiliated with SME) ended his Seoul concerts successfully, launching a spectacular kickoff for his new tour.
Key held '2025 KEYLAND : Uncanny Valley' (2025 Keyland : Uncanny Valley) at the Ticketlink Live Arena in Olympic Park, Seoul (formerly Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium) from 26th to 28th for three days, and the performances on the 27th and 28th were simultaneously broadcast live online to global platforms Beyond LIVE and Weverse, joining fans around the world including the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Japan, Taiwan and Singapore.
Connected to the concept of facing the "other me" from his third full-length album HUNTER, this performance used the theme of "Uncanny Valley," the phenomenon where nonhuman entities that become more similar to humans evoke strange feelings, and featured unique elements such as a fragmented-shaped LED wall, geometrically shaped structures, VCRs that portrayed Key like a virtual artist, surreal and conceptual costumes, live band sessions that brought vitality to the venue, and a solidly crafted "art performance" that blended Key's unique musical world.
In particular, Key rode a spaceship-shaped moving ring truss (a device that can move up and down and be ridden by a kineses motor) to open the show with the intense "Strange," matching the concert theme, and from the start he overwhelmed the audience with stages of "Helium (Helium)", "CoolAs" (CoolAs), and "Want Another" (Want Another). He filled the stage with explosive energy with songs such as "HUNTER", "Trap" (Trap), "Killer" (Killer), "Heartless" (Heartless), "Gasoline" (Gasoline), and "BAD LOVE" (Bad Love), and also presented diverse vocal charm with stages like "Infatuation" (Infatuation), "Picture Frame" (Picture Frame), and "Novacaine" (Novacaine).
Also, in the encore section Key performed "Lavender Love" (Lavender Love), a song that expressed gratitude to the fans who have always supported him, enhancing the bittersweet and overwhelming emotion by using lavender-colored and scented confetti, and he was moved to tears after hearing the fans' chorus, creating an even more touching moment. He also delivered the exhilarating festival-like "GLAM" (GLAM) and the message-to-enjoy-the-moment "This Life" (This Life) stages, heating up the venue's energy until the end.
Having successfully completed the Seoul concert that marked the start of this year's tour, Key referenced the earlier "2024 KEYLAND ON : AND ON" (2024 Keyland On : And On) and received enthusiastic responses with remarks that "I thought no concert could top this one among my solo shows, but after the last encore concert I felt that it depends on what I and the staff do. I will continue to show great concerts and albums that surpass the present. I have carefully folded today's memories; please unfold them later into your beautiful memories."
Key will continue the tour in Taipei on Oct. 4, Singapore on Oct. 18, Macau on Nov. 16, Tokyo on Nov. 29-30, Los Angeles on Dec. 3 (local time), Auckland on Dec. 5, Dallas-Fort Worth on Dec. 8, Brooklyn on Dec. 10, Chicago on Dec. 13 and Seattle on Dec. 15.
