The group CORTIS became the first boy group that debuted in 2025 to crack the Melon weekly chart. It befits their momentum as this year's top rookie.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Gunho)'s debut album intro track "GO!" ranked 98th on the latest Melon weekly chart (tracking period: Sept. 22–28). Also, it rose to 98th on the latest daily chart (Sept. 28), and despite ending official promotions on Sept. 28 with SBS' Inkigayo, it has enjoyed long-running popularity by posting strong chart results.
"GO!" gained traction through dance challenges on social media and spread by word of mouth. After its first appearance on the Melon daily chart on Sept. 21, it remained on the chart for four consecutive days. It was brought back to the stage on SBS' Inkigayo on Sept. 21 and MBC's Show! Music Core on Sept. 27, and finally entered the Melon weekly chart.
CORTIS's streaming power shone on the world's largest music streaming platform Spotify as well. Their title track "What You Want" (Sept. 1–7) and intro track "GO!" (Sept. 9–11, 16–19) and "FaSHioN" (Sept. 22–27) reached the top of the Daily Viral Songs Global chart. That means their songs have held the No. 1 spot for a full 20 days. Also on the latest (Sept. 27) Daily Viral Songs Global chart, three songs—"FaSHioN" (No. 1), "GO!" (No. 2) and "JoyRide" (No. 5)—were in the top five, showing multi-hit success.
A massive influx of fandom is also notable. CORTIS's official community on the global superfans platform Weverse surpassed 1 million members around 6:10 p.m. on the 28th. Their followers on global short-form video platform TikTok and Instagram stood at 3.5 million and 3.39 million, respectively, as of 2 p.m. on the 29th. They are the only rookie team debuted this year to exceed 3 million followers.
Fueled by the hot popularity of COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES, CORTIS seized the title of this year's top rookie. The album ranked first in first-week sales (weekly sales from the release date, according to Hanteo Chart) among albums by rookies who debuted in 2025. It also achieved the best result among this year's rookies by placing 15th on the Billboard 200 (Sept. 27).
