Park Sung-hoon was replaced by Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, but she was flawless. Lee Chae-min completed Bon Appetit, Your Majesty without incident and firmly etched her name into the public consciousness.
In the final episode of the tvN weekend drama Bon Appetit, Your Majesty (written by fGRD, directed by Jang Tae-yu), which concluded on the 28th, Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min) was falsely accused of the heinous crime of causing the death of Queen Dowager Inju (played by Seo Yi-sook), but he returned to the palace for Jinmyeong's future and settled the matter with Prince Jesan (played by Choi Gwi-hwa), who had plotted rebellion. In the end, though he was deposed and sent into exile, he fought a fierce battle against Prince Jesan, who continued to try to kill him and had kidnapped Yeon Ji-young (played by Im Yoon-ah). Having lost everything, Lee Heon had to accept that Yeon Ji-young died and returned to the present at the same time, and he too appeared to have lost his life. Miraculously, he crossed time again to reunite with Yeon Ji-young, served the hwanse-ban she made for him when they first met, and foreshadowed a new beginning for the two, bringing the story to a close with a happy ending.
Through Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, Lee Chae-min fully immersed herself in the character from the first broadcast, showing a new side each episode and firmly imprinting her name. Discovered as a rom-com gem, she proved both potential and clear growth, and beyond Korea she was nicknamed "Your Majesty" by overseas viewers, capturing a global fandom. With intense gazes, solid projection, and a stable tone, she embodied the charisma of the tyrant Lee Heon and drove immersion in the drama; despite it being her first historical drama, her high-quality performance drew warm praise.
Lee Chae-min also delivered deep immersion by delicately portraying the complex inner life that forced him to become a tyrant after his mother's death. She convincingly conveyed the anguish and struggle he experienced while pursuing the truth, and poured out tender looks and emotions in front of the woman he loved. As the series moved toward its latter half, she combined brutal action with romance to maximize viewer empathy and fully draw viewers into Lee Heon's narrative. In addition to diverse chemistry with other characters, she brought scenes to life with sincere expressions before food, giving weight to each moment. By encompassing excitement, emotion, and even laughter, Lee Chae-min completed the character Lee Heon in the most fitting way and achieved a perfect result in every respect.
Praised every episode for solid acting and clear growth, Lee Chae-min shared her thoughts on the conclusion through her agency Baro Entertainment. Lee Chae-min said, "From the cold winter to the hot summer, everyone sweated together while filming, and I am happier and more thankful than ever that our drama was able to wrap up receiving so much love and attention. I hope our work will be remembered by viewers as a drama that at times brought laughter and excitement, and at other times warmth and emotion, leaving a deep impression. It has already become such a meaningful work to me. It was a precious time that gave this insufficient me a lot of learning, growth, and happiness, and that resonance still remains and has become a great driving force for my future. I will continue to work tirelessly to become an actor who can repay you with good works and performances, so please watch over me. Once again, I sincerely thank everyone who watched our drama," expressing her gratitude.<
