'The Seasons-10CM's Ssedamssedam' delivered a music journey full of romance and emotion.
On the 26th, the KBS 2TV music talk show 'The Seasons-10CM's Ssedamssedam' featured WOODZ (WOODZ), DAY6 Young K (Young K), Lee Jun-young, and Shin Seung-hoon, who left a deep impression with a variety of stories and performances.
WOODZ finished his own military discharge announcement by exploding with rock 'n' roll energy in the 'Dirt on My Leather' performance. He then recalled memories from his military service and said, "I watched Jung Seung-hwan's 'The Seasons' broadcast, and my longing to get back on stage grew stronger." He reminisced that when the program was scheduled at 10 p.m., he even stayed up late to watch it, and said, "I was disappointed that the scheduling later meant I couldn't watch often, but today I laugh thinking that Yoo Seung-woo and NCT Jaehyun in my unit are watching me." He added, "Don't get sick, don't get hurt, stay healthy. But will next year come?" delivering a mischievous smile with his video message that sent the studio into laughter.
WOODZ recalled that his military-uniform performance of 'Drowning' went viral again and said, "At the time I thought it was a failure. I performed in a very poor condition," then added, "It did well through the resurgence, but many said it was a shame I couldn't promote. But this was the first time I received so much attention, so I felt, 'Can't this wait a little?'" showing a mature side.
WOODZ, who performed the new song "I'll Never Love Again" on the broadcast for the first time, also debuted a joint stage of the unreleased song 'Falling,' which he co-wrote and co-composed with DAY6 Young K. Young K surprised viewers with the behind-the-scenes remark, "We redistributed the parts so the chemistry between the two would be more visible."
After performing 'Into Your Summer,' which 10cm commissioned lyrics for, Young K recalled times spent with fans at large concerts and reflected on his 10th anniversary since debut. When Young K asked, "Are you proud of me?" the audience responded with loud cheers, and Young K soon reddened his eyes and expressed gratitude. He confessed, "In the early days of my debut, I promised I would make fans proud to say they listened to our songs," and wiped his tears with a handkerchief handed by 10cm. 10cm also empathized, saying, "I once said I wanted to be fans' 'proud bias' too, and since it was a direct question it was even more moving," sharing an overwhelming moment.
When asked about personal wishes, Young K joked about aiming for 10cm's seat, and 10cm replied, "There is only one season here. I wondered what he meant since I haven't done many episodes," sounding embarrassed. But then he picked up a cue card and appeared to make Young K act as MC, only to reclaim the seat in an instant when Young K tried to sit at the MC table, saying, "Up to here," prompting Young K to lament, "Ah, really testing me," which sent the studio into laughter.
10cm introduced Shin Seung-hoon as the 'emperor of ballads' and confessed his fandom, saying, "In my delusions I always competed with Shin Seung-hoon sunbaenim for the Golden Cup on Gayo Top Ten. He was also the first person I truly wanted to see top a music program." Shin Seung-hoon replied, "Chi-ya, I like you much more than Seok-hoon," permitting a brotherly relationship, and 10cm joked toward SG Wannabe's Lee Seok-hoon, "Hey, are you watching?" bringing laughter. When 10cm noted that Shin Seung-hoon is "a living witness to 33 years of KBS late-night music program history" and mentioned his achievements, Shin Seung-hoon joked, "I want something at the Entertainment Awards too."
Shin Seung-hoon delivered a medley of his hits that matched the weight of his '35th anniversary since debut,' bringing nostalgia and emotion. 10cm, who sang 'Geu Huro O랫dong-an' with Shin Seung-hoon, marveled, "I don't think I could express it even if I died." He paid respect, saying, "It can't have been easy to stay active for 35 years, but you are becoming more perfect," and confessed, "The vocal cords are muscles, so they inevitably wear down over time, but you continue to share much happiness with even better albums. Thank you," revealing choked-up emotions. Shin Seung-hoon then performed 'She was,' the pre-release track from his first full album in 10 years, and the title track 'Gravity called you,' moistening the autumn night.
Lee Jun-young, who returned to his main career after five years, exploded with emotion in the 'Cleaning' performance. Shy and waving off the audience's applause in embarrassment, Lee Jun-young shared eye contact moments with 10cm following former MC Park Bo-gum, and proudly wore the gold-frame glasses of Geum Seong-je from 'Weak Hero Class 2,' showing resemblance to 10cm. 10cm summoned Geum Seong-je's famous line, "Romance pass," and crowned him '10seongje.'
Lee Jun-young, known as an actor and singer and called a versatile talent, answered "dance" when asked what makes him happiest, saying, "Each is fun in different ways, but among them dance." He added, "Dance is my root and something I must protect," and said he even dances with friends when resting and takes part in battle stages.
On the day, his source of inspiration and close friends, Bank to Brothers dance team members Bizzy B and Gi-seok, appeared with him. Bizzy B introduced himself as "Jun-young's thumb" and revealed their close friendship. As the music played, Lee Jun-young dominated the atmosphere with Bank to Brothers through flashy steps and dazzling movements. He even threw off his jacket, surrounded 10cm, and unleashed explosive energy that thrilled the studio. In the following stage he passionately sang 'Why do you do this to me,' offering a delightful reversal of charm distinct from the intense dance performance.
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV's 'The Seasons-10CM's Ssedamssedam' airs every Friday at 10 p.m.<
