Also, comedian Park Mi-seon, who recently drew concern over health rumors, and singer Jin Mi-ryeong, his common-law ex-wife, sent funeral wreaths to mourn the deceased.
Kim Hak-rae, president of the Korean Comedians Association, recalled the situation when he visited the hospital and expressed his heavy feelings. He said, "Even while relying on an oxygen respirator, his mind was alert, and they were exchanging ad-libs even in the hospital room," and with reddened eyes added, "We even talked about 'I'll go ahead, so let's meet soon.'"
He added, "(He) was making all the mental preparations and giving instructions. He even said directly, 'I am going to die soon,' and instructed that his funeral be held as a comedian's funeral."
Jeon Yu-seong, a great star of the comedy world who loved the stage and cared for his juniors. His absence is so great, but the laughter and lessons he left behind are expected to shine for a long time in the history of Korean comedy.
The late Jeon Yu-seong's funeral will be held as a comedian's funeral from the 26th to the 28th, and the farewell ceremony will be held on the 28th.
