MBC Home Alone's Park Na-rae, with the help of steadfast supporters Jun Hyun-moo and Kian84, cleaned out the house of her deceased grandparents. Jun Hyun-moo and Kian84, who willingly stepped forward for Park Na-rae after two years of mustering the courage, summoned memories of the "summer Narae school" from eight years ago, bringing both tears and laughter to the living room. Musical actor Kai transformed into "Professor Ka," drawing attention by showing everything from the beloved youngest professor persona to the charisma of a top active professor. Home Alone recorded a peak rating of 7.7%.
On the episode of MBC Home Alone that aired on the 26th (directed by Heo Hang, Kang Ji-hee, Kim Jin-kyung, Lee Kyung-eun, Moon Ki-young), Park Na-rae's effort to clean out her deceased grandparents' house and musical actor Kai's daily life as "Professor Ka" were revealed.
The best one-minute moment was when Jun Hyun-moo, who rushed in to help the struggling Park Na-rae, transformed into "Super Mucho-man" and fought weeds, and when Kian84 became hyper-alert as "Dolswe84" at Park Na-rae's voice (11:55 p.m., 11:57 p.m.). Especially after waging war on the weeds, Jun Hyun-moo provoked laughter by declaring, "I'm not going to live in a dwelling," seemingly giving up on the dream of owning a house, and the peak rating surged to 7.7%.
Park Na-rae visited her deceased grandparents' house for the first time in two years. She said, "I dream about it every day, but I couldn't go," explaining that she had been unable to visit because of overwhelming grief and only now found the courage to clean up. Seeing the overgrown weeds and her grandmother's kimchi still intact in the refrigerator, Park Na-rae sat down and burst into tears. Tearing weeds with her bare hands and saying, "I came too late," her self-reproachful 모습 evoked sympathy.
That day Jun Hyun-moo and Kian84 stepped in as supporters for Park Na-rae. The two, who visited Narae's grandparents' house for the first time in eight years since the "summer Narae school," found Park Na-rae crying and said, "It may not be as much as for you, but this place also holds memories like childhood summer vacations for us, so we wanted to help," expressing their feelings. In front of Park Na-rae, who shed tears at traces of her grandmother and grandfather found throughout the house, Jun Hyun-moo and Kian84 awkwardly offered comfort, unable to find words.
When Park Na-rae hesitated over her grandparents' sofa, Kian84 surprised everyone by asking, "How about selling it through a secondhand transaction?" A flustered Jun Hyun-moo tried to smooth things over, and Kian84 bowed his head in embarrassment. Park Na-rae, who had momentarily snapped out of frustration, soon burst into laughter and expressed gratitude, saying, "There's usually nothing to laugh about, but thanks to you, I smiled."
Afterward, Park Na-rae, Jun Hyun-moo and Kian84 shared a meal, changed into work clothes and began the full clean-up. Park Na-rae said the house, built by her grandmother and grandfather since before she was born, made her feel even more affectionate, and Jun Hyun-moo and Kian84 did their best, carrying heavy loads and pulling weeds even in the rain. Seeing two red roses in bloom, Park Na-rae said, "I think my grandmother and grandfather are growing these from heaven. That's why I really wanted to keep the roses alive," and she could not leave the flower bed.
After filling the collection truck, the three drank the sweet mix coffee Park Na-rae made, shouted "Oath of the Peach Garden" and washed away sweat and fatigue with a refreshing scrub. Park Na-rae, who had been reserved during the "summer Narae school" eight years ago, laughed at how they had become people who scrubbed each other's backs, and Kian84 caused uproarious laughter by showing how he felt the passage of time in Jun Hyun-moo's "maesaengi (chest hair) rise and fall."
Meanwhile, Kai, dressed in a sharp suit and heading somewhere, revealed a life as a university professor rather than a musical actor. Kai, who has been a visiting professor for three years and a full-time professor for two years, said, "I originally majored in vocal music. When I was a student, it was before the musical boom, so I didn't know well how to become an actor. I studied musical theater on my own and later wanted to help students who have the same concerns," explaining why he became a professor and drawing admiration.
Kai went to his office, called "Ka-room," as "Professor Ka," and showed a different daily life on campus by eating the soul food pork cutlet set in the student cafeteria instead of being on stage. At meetings with full-time professors he showed the charm of a beloved "youngest professor," and in the subsequent major practical class he drew attention by showing the charismatic side of a professor.
Seeing Kai give one-on-one lessons and tailored feedback to students, the cast members said with envy, "Isn't it like private tutoring from a top active actor? It's such a precious time. I want to learn too." Kai said, "To sing well you need a rich imagination," using colorful metaphors to explain singing and music, and Kian84, saying he understood Professor Ka's lesson, showcased his high-note singing skill(?), turning the studio into a sea of laughter.
After class, Kai headed to the students' regular performance practice room. Watching his students practice with a satisfied look, Kai said, "Through my students I reflect on myself and learn a lot. I get a lot of energy from the students. For me the university is also a school," and added, "Seeing students enjoy the stage and work hard makes me work harder too," showing his affection for them. Producer Code Kunst also sympathized with Kai's sincerity, saying, "There's something I gain from there. That's why I can't stop doing audition programs."
At the end of the broadcast, the daily life of DAY6's youngest drummer Dowoon and a preview of Park Na-rae, Jun Hyun-moo and Kian84's grandparents' house cleaning part 2 were teased.<
