Former girl group Lovelyz member Lee Mi-joo recounted an incident that left her hurt with a former agency official.
On the 26th, a video titled "K-POP trade secrets, now I can tell (feat. ear protection)" was posted on the YouTube channel "Just Lee Mi-joo".
That day, in addition to Lee Mi-joo, famous idol members including '94z' Moonbyul, Youngji, Hyoyeon, Seulgi and others gathered to talk, and the topic of "memorable broadcast accidents" came up.
Lee Mi-joo prefaced by saying "the stylist's fault," then recalled, "It was during 'Destiny.' I was wearing heels this high and the sole peeled off and went missing. We checked it right before the stage and I said, 'Shouldn't we change them?' but they said there was no time, so go up (on stage)," she recalled.
She added, "My ankle twisted and my eyes were teary, but I kept stumbling. In the end I fell," and said, "I pushed with my thumb and kept going. I went to the emergency room and a ligament was torn so I had to stop activities, but an agency official told me, 'It will be caught on camera,'" which shocked viewers. It was suggested they should have used the fall like noise marketing.
This prompted shouts like "they should all go to hell" and "aren't people first?", and Lee Mi-joo said, "After that I only wear sneakers."
