TOMORROW X TOGETHER (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Hueningkai) signed an official partnership with UNICEF headquarters and the Korea Committee, BigHit Music said on the 26th.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER will join UNICEF to launch the global children and youth mental health campaign "TOGETHER FOR TOMORROW." This campaign takes empathy as the starting point for mental health and was planned with the aim of understanding one another without prejudice and creating a better tomorrow together.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER will meet with Catherine Russell, UNICEF executive director, at UNICEF headquarters in New York on the 30th (local time), attend a signing ceremony and outline the campaign's significance and plans for activities. The signing ceremony will include Kitty van der Heijden, UNICEF deputy executive director; Jomijin Cho, secretary general of the UNICEF Korea Committee; and Dongju Yoo, HYBE Music Group APAC head.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER is regarded as a representative artist that conveys the values of empathy and solidarity through music that honestly and carefully addresses the worries and pains of peers living in the same era and the realities of youth. In practice, they have built a deep musical narrative by expressing various emotions such as temptations that young people can easily fall into and inner anxiety.
The group name, meaning "different you and I gather into one dream to make tomorrow together" (TOMORROW X TOGETHER), also naturally connects with the campaign's message. TOMORROW X TOGETHER is expected to use this partnership as an opportunity to directly reach out to the emotional difficulties faced by children and youth and expand its role as a global artist that offers comfort and courage.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER said, "We want to convey the message that if we are together, not alone, we can create a more hopeful future. We hope the various activities with UNICEF will bring comfort and courage to many people." They added, "We are honored to join this meaningful journey. We will continue to widely promote the values of empathy and solidarity through our music and various activities."
BigHit Music, the HYBE (chairman Bang Si-hyuk) Music Group label, said, "In seeking a partner that can more widely promote the value of 'together' that TOMORROW X TOGETHER has continuously conveyed, we sympathized with UNICEF's focus on mental health issues as an important global agenda," adding, "Under this shared goal, BigHit Music will also support TOMORROW X TOGETHER's social contribution activities to help bring about positive change."
