Actor Han Ji-hyun and Oh Ye-ju will appear in MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "In Your Brilliant Season."
26th OSEN reporting shows that Han Ji-hyun and Oh Ye-ju were offered casting for MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "In Your Brilliant Season," which will air in the first half of next year, and recently decided to appear.
"In Your Brilliant Season" (planned by Namgung Seong-woo, written by Jo Seong-hee, directed by Jeong Sang-hee and Kim Young-jae) portrays an unpredictable romance in which Chan (played by Chae Jong-hyeop), a man who lives every day like an exciting summer vacation, and Ran (played by Lee Sung-kyung), a woman who has confined herself to winter, meet as if by fate and awaken the frozen time. Writer Jo Seong-hee, who penned "Thirty but Seventeen," "She Was Pretty," and "High School King of Savvy," teamed up with PD Jeong Sang-hee, who was recognized for delicate direction through "Please Send Me a Fan Letter" and "Wonderful World."
Han Ji-hyun will play Song Ha-young, a designer at Nana Atelier. She will form the three sisters with Lee Sung-kyung, who plays Nana Atelier's chief designer Song Ha-ran, and is expected to lead the drama's central axis. Among the three sisters, the youngest and a high school student, Song Ha-dam, will be portrayed by Oh Ye-ju. Han Ji-hyun, a 15th class graduate of the Korea National University of Arts' Theater Department, debuted in the 2017 web drama "Soul Driver" and made a name for herself in 2020 with the SBS "Penthouse" series. At that time she drew attention with a strong performance as Joo Seok-kyung, the daughter of Joo Dan-tae and Shim Soo-ryeon and the twin sister.
She later appeared in SBS's "Cheer Up," tvN's "I Don't Want to Lose," KBS2's "Face Me," and this year followed the Netflix film "Revelations" with the new film "Face," in which she played documentary PD Kim Soo-jin and delivered an impressive performance. Above all, the production cost for "Face" was an ultra-low budget of 200 million won, and the lead actors participated without guarantees; the film has currently surpassed 810,000 cumulative viewers, and cumulative box office revenue has also exceeded 8.4 billion won, drawing attention.
