"Queen of taste Kim Nam-joo" Actress Kim Nam-joo visited Gangjin once again with Kim Seung-woo.
On the 25th, SBS Life "Queen of taste Kim Nam-joo" featured the couple Kim Nam-joo and Kim Seung-woo visiting Gangjin County, South Jeolla Province. The couple had been invited to Gangjin two months earlier for the hydrangea festival, and their visit alone proved highly effective as promotional models. Before autumn fully ripened, Kim Nam-joo and Kim Seung-woo returned to Gangjin with faces full of excitement.
Kim Nam-joo said, "They invited us to Gangjin two months after the hydrangea festival, so we're going. We'll eat more and tastier things," and added, "With no children, time alone for the two of us has increased," expressing considerable satisfaction with their cozy time together.
Kim Seung-woo joked, "I've come to Gangjin four or five times. I'll come to Gangjin again next month for a baseball game. People in Gangjin will think I'm from Gangjin."
The first place the couple visited was Baegundong Garden in Gangjin. It was created by a disciple of scholar Dasan Jeong Yak-yong, and for Kim Seung-woo, who also played the role of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong, the visit seemed to carry fresh emotions. Kim Seung-woo recalled, "I once played the role of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong in a Chuseok special drama," and Kim Nam-joo said, "It was a familiar role."
Kim Nam-joo said, "This is Gangjin's green tea field. There is also a famous green tea brand factory. It's so green and lovely, isn't it?" as she looked happily at the green tea field revealed at the end of Baegundong Garden. For Kim Nam-joo, whose hobby is tending the garden year-round and bringing beautiful seasons to life, she could not help but be impressed by the tea field as nature itself.
The couple, who enjoy drinking, visited a Gangjin brewery. Kim Seung-woo marveled at a special makgeolli bottle and said, "If you did a blind test and served this beer in a wine glass, you could fool people into thinking it's wine." Kim Nam-joo agreed, saying, "The label is so stylish," and the couple praised the drink after tasting the makgeolli, saying, "It has flavors somewhere between sake, beer and wine."
Next, Kim Nam-joo visited Bukchon hanok village. The hanok village was a rare outing for the sophisticated Kim Nam-joo. She said, "Coming here reminded me. When children go on field trips, they come without knowing where it is. When they're little, if you tell them to come, they usually do," and added, "I heard from senior mothers that taking children there before age 6 or 7 means they won't remember it. Even if they don't remember, it might have an influence," explaining that they visited for the children's education.
Then, seeing a T-shirt with peaches on it, Kim Nam-joo said, "My mother said that in her birth dream she wrapped peaches by the stream and brought them," and added, "Eleven years? I think my daughter, who is about 9, came to experience this. There are things to experience in hanok houses. They still have them now. I went around saying we need to give children experiences. With my husband we only go to the usual places, so I wanted to come visit for fun. I thought I wanted to come here because of this hanok-style atmosphere," showing she was completely absorbed in the hanok village's charm.
