Comedian Kim Young-cheol remembered the late Jeon Yu-seong and recalled memories with him.
Kim Young-cheol said on the 26th on his social media account, "In late Oct. 2024, I was able to see senior again thanks to a YouTube shoot. I was deeply grateful simply that he willingly joined the shoot. After finishing the shoot, I still vividly remember that he could not eat much at the meal," he said.
He added, "In 1999 during Gag Concert, when I was a rookie in training, at the KBS bookstore you bought me three books and told me 'you must read a lot of books,' and that remark still remains in my heart. I try to take those words as a lifelong lesson, but I always feel sorry and regret that I did not contact senior often."
Kim Young-cheol said, "Now please do not be in pain there, and read and write the books you liked to your heart's content. I will live continuing to read and study as I was told in 1999. Senior, I pray you rest in peace."
Meanwhile, Jeon Yu-seong died on the 25th as his pulmonary malignancy symptoms worsened. He was 76.
Jeon Yu-seong's funeral will be prepared as a comedian's funeral according to the deceased's wishes, and the funeral hall will be set up at Asan Medical Center in Seoul.
