R&B trot queen Lyn will challenge herself as a music show host for the first time in 25 years through MBN's 'Hanil Top Ten Show' season 2.
'Hanil Top Ten Show' season 2 is the world's only "Korea-Japan classic chart show" where active national representative singers from Korea and Japan who shined in the '2025 Korea-Japan King of Singers' wage an unlimited classic-song war to claim the top of the charts with famous songs from both countries.
In particular, among the songs sung by active national representative singers from Korea and Japan, the videos played by viewers will be tallied, and when a song reaches 1 million views it will be awarded a silver microphone, and when it reaches 5 million views it will be awarded a gold microphone, and thus be registered in the 'Hanil Top Ten Show' hall of fame by viewers' choice. It is expected to deliver special emotion with a shocking attempt that transcends nationality and even expands genres.
In this regard, Lyn, who began appearing on 'King of Singers' season 1 and expanded her musical world to include not only R&B but also trot, adds firepower to the high-quality Korea-Japan classic-song war as she joins as a new host. Lyn, who already played an active role as a member on 'Hanil Top Ten Show' season 1, will pair with Kangnam as co-hosts for season 2.
Lyn said, "This year marks my 25th year since I started music, and music excites me every moment. From ballads and R&B to trot. I feel great happiness to be able to do the music I love," and added sincerely, "As this program will present famous songs from Korea and Japan to viewers, I always prepared every performance carefully when I participated as a singer. From now on, as an MC I will take a bit more responsibility and work with the best artists to prepare great stages."
Also joining season 2 of 'Hanil Top Ten Show' as fixed members is Hwang Min-ho, who appeared in the '2025 Korea-Japan King of Singers' special match, surprised the Japanese teams and brought victory to the Korean team, along with Korea TOP7 Park Seo-jin, Jin Hae-seong, Enock, Shin Seung-tae, Kim Junsu and Choi Su-ho. As for Japan's TOP7, Yudai, who turned a single stage into a concert hall and sparked a J-pop craze in Korea, Masaya, who rose to fame as the "second Rie," and Takuya, Junie, Shu and Shin join to complete a more powerful 'Hanil Top Ten Show' stage that transcends borders and genres. In particular, Yudai, ahead of his first appearance on 'Hanil Top Ten Show' season 2, expressed his excitement, saying, "I will show many more great stages on 'Hanil Top Ten Show.' I love Korea."
The producers said, "With Lyn, who has mastered not only R&B but also trot, and new faces such as Yudai, who sparked the J-pop craze, joining, viewers will meet an upgraded 'Hanil Top Ten Show.'"
'Hanil Top Ten Show' season 2 will kick off the full-scale Korea-Japan classic chart show starting with the unity meeting of active singers from the '2025 Korea-Japan King of Singers' held locally in Japan on Oct. 14 (Tue).
Meanwhile, Lyn officially announced her divorce last month, saying she and Lee Soo have ended their 11-year marriage and are going their separate ways.
