A five-member rookie boy group AM8IC (pronounced AMBIC) is proving solid skills even before their official debut.
AM8IC attracted attention with their surprising abilities before debut by releasing rap and vocal cover videos on their official social media on the 22nd and 24th.
AM8IC's "rapper line" Mingkai (MINGKAI) and Chen (CHEN) reinterpreted the Indian rising rapper hanumankind's (hanumankind) "Big Dawgs," which gained popularity on TikTok, with new lyrics and flow. The two perfectly expressed their own color with solid rapping, flow that drives the groove, and delicate yet impactful control of dynamics.
AM8IC's "vocal line" Saho (SAHO), Chungyi (CHUNGYI) and Rou (ROUX) delivered "Airport in 10:30" by Tao zhe (Tao zhe), a popular artist in the Chinese-speaking world, with a variety of tones to reveal a different atmosphere. The three maximized the song's delicate sentiment and immersion based on solid vocal capabilities and enriched the track by harmoniously weaving their voices together.
Earlier, following the performance of "Escher," a track from their first EP "LUKOIE (LUKOIE)" set for release in November, AM8IC released a creative choreography performance video featuring main dancer Rou (ROUX), leaving an impression on global fans. Through this video, AM8IC showed remarkable skills in rap and vocals as well, raising expectations for the emergence of the next-generation "hexagonal idols."
AM8IC combined "AMBI-," meaning bidirectional, and "CONNECT" to put in their name the idea that boys who have lost their way grow and move toward salvation through genuine connections with each other. Based on the false "dream world" created by the spider-shaped dream god Lukoie, AM8IC is expected to offer differentiation with a blockbuster-level worldview and vast storytelling.
Meanwhile, AM8IC, the "5th-generation dark fantasy idol" set to newly lead the K-pop market, is slated to debut in November.
