Actress Kim Mi-kyung expressed special affection for the "broadcast daughters" she formed bonds with through drama.
On the MBC variety show "Radio Star" aired on the 24th, Kim Mi-kyung appeared as a guest on the "K-mom" special and mentioned her ties with actresses who played daughters in dramas. Asked, "Do you have a daughter you feel affection for?" Kim Mi-kyung answered, "There are friends who contact me even after filming ends. I spoke on the phone with Im Soo-hyang a few times, and the ones I really live like mother and daughter with are Jang Na-ra and Kim Tae-hee."
Kim Mi-kyung worked as mother and daughter with Jang Na-ra in the drama "Confession Couple" and with Kim Tae-hee in "Hi Bye, Mama!" She said, "Because the stories in the drama were deep and poignant, I became even more fond in real life. It must not have been easy to approach a senior with a big age gap, but she is truly pretty," and smiled warmly.
Kim Mi-kyung continued, "There are actresses who come to my house without being invited. Even when I'm not at home, they'll come and be eating with my daughter," drawing laughter. She also revealed that she and Park Min-young have continued a mother-daughter relationship across as many as five works, boasting, "In the fifth work Park Min-young contacted me saying, 'Mom, maybe we are destiny.'"
Kim Mi-kyung, who confessed last year that her mother passed away, recalled, "I didn't send out the death notice text separately, but after an article came out many people came to pay their respects. Almost all the drama daughters came to visit, which was a great comfort." When the MCs pointed to Im Soo-hyang, Im Soo-hyang said, "I really didn't know," and was embarrassed. Kim Mi-kyung warmly wrapped up by saying, "Soo-hyang simply didn't receive the death notice, so she couldn't come," adding a touching moment.
