Kia Tigers catcher Han Jun-soo of professional baseball announced his marriage to former LG cheerleader Kim Yi-seo.
On the 25th, Han Jun-soo posted a long message on his personal social media saying, "For most of my baseball life my role was to receive countless pitches, sometimes protect home plate through rough physical play, and quietly endure so the pitcher on the mound wouldn't be shaken."
He added, "Even off the field there is someone who has steadfastly accepted all of me, always cheered for and supported me. Just as a pitcher needs a reliable catcher on the mound, I have a strong partner who has stood by me without wavering through any adversity and hardship," and said, "Now I intend to form a lifelong team with that precious person."
Han Jun-soo said, "Just as I always tried to be a reliable catcher as a baseball player, now as a husband and head of a household I will be a dependable person who protects her life from the closest position."
He then concluded, "Please warmly bless our new beginning. I will do my best until the end of the remaining season. Thank you."
Along with this, Han Jun-soo released wedding photos; his bride-to-be was Kim Yi-seo, who had formerly worked as a cheerleader for the LG Twins.
Kim Yi-seo began her cheerleading career in 2016 with Anyang KGC Ginseng Corporation and later continued cheerleading with baseball teams such as SK and LG, gaining popularity. Kim, who was omitted from the LG Twins cheerleader roster before the start of this season, sparked attention by hinting at her retirement from cheerleading on social media.
