Group EXO member Chanyeol (SME) will debut as a solo artist in Japan following Korea.
Chanyeol will release his first Japanese mini album "日" (Hibi) on the 22nd of next month, and ahead of that, at 12 a.m. on the 26th he plans to pre-release all six tracks from the album on various global music platforms, generating high anticipation.
In particular, this album was created with the theme of appreciating everyday life and is expected to resonate with listeners, and the title track "ずるいよ" (Zuruiyo), which features a lively brass sound, expresses a feeling of wanting to fall endlessly into longing even when unable to reach the person you love.
Also, listeners can hear several new songs of different moods, including "考えてみたら" (Kangaete Mitara) and "Tokyo Tower" (Tokyo Tower), to which Chanyeol contributed lyrics and composition adding emotional depth, as well as "Cherry" (Cherry), which depicts a romantic moment, "UP TO YOU" (UP TO YOU), which conveys unlimited trust and support, and "Trace" (Trace), which sings of self-affirmation.
In addition, to commemorate his Japanese solo debut, Chanyeol will hold "CHANYEOL JAPAN TOUR 2025 -The Days-" (Chanyeol Japan Tour 2025 -The Days-), visiting four locations to connect closely with local fans: Aichi on Oct. 4, Fukuoka on Oct. 8, Osaka on Oct. 10, and Kanagawa on Oct. 27.
Chanyeol previously received global acclaim when his second mini album "Upside Down," released in Aug., reached No. 1 on the iTunes top albums chart in 26 regions worldwide.
