Kakao Entertainment (representatives Kwon Ki-soo, Jang Yoon-joong, hereafter Kakao Entertainment) produced the Netflix series "You and Everything Else," which is gaining popularity both domestically and abroad through word of mouth amid positive reviews.
Since the Netflix series "You and Everything Else" was released worldwide on Sept. 12, it rose to No. 5 in the global top 10 series (non-English) category in its second week after release. In Good Data Corporation's FUNdex TV-OTT integrated drama buzz ranking for the third week of September, it ranked No. 2 overall with an 18.86% share, a 74.1% surge in buzz compared with the previous week (second week of September). It also ranked third in TV-OTT integrated content buzz (drama/non-drama), and lead actors Kim Goeun and Park Ji-hyun placed fourth and fifth respectively in the TV-OTT integrated performers category.
The Netflix series "You and Everything Else" has received praise from viewers of various ages worldwide for its warm humor, empathy and healing. Writer Song Hye-jin's distinctive delicate writing and deep narrative, combined with director Cho Young-min's calm yet emotional direction, weave together a three-dimensional portrayal of two friends, Eun-joong and Sang-yeon, who deeply like and admire each other, yet also feel jealousy and hatred, entangling over the course of their lives.
In particular, actors Kim Goeun and Park Ji-hyun immediately drew viewers into the story with dazzling performances spanning their 20s to 40s, prompting praise that they have found another "career-defining role."
