Singer Sean clarified the misunderstanding about "adoption."
On the 24th, a video titled "The youngest guy who monopolizes Hyeyoung's love... (adopted dog Leo)" was uploaded to the "With Sean" channel.
That day Sean explained, "My family has appeared on my channel before, and some people think I have four children and say I adopted them. I think they're slightly confusing me with senior Cha In-pyo. But our four children are all children Hyeyoung carried and gave birth to," he said.
He continued, "But we have one more youngest. I'll reveal him for the first time," and disclosed the hidden youngest, the pet dog Leo, saying, "He's the totally adorable Leo." Looking at Leo sleeping in the passenger seat, Sean said, "He doesn't seem like a morning dog," and explained, "He's a morning dog but he really likes sleeping. He always loves sleeping on mom's lap and he loves being taken out for a walk in the morning."
He said the youngest receives special care. Sean said, "He receives Hyeyoung's concentrated love and our children also like him so they'll take their bed and after a while another kid will take the bed. I, like with our children, always separate them to sleep once a certain period passes. After the kids are past infancy they all sleep elsewhere. Because we did that, we're trying to keep Leo's routine strict, but if his room door is even slightly open he runs to mom's bed," he said.
He added, "Today I'm going to walk Leo. At Namsan. When Leo was younger we were told long walks weren't good so we only walked him in front of the house, but now he's sort of in his adolescent stage so to show him a slightly bigger world we're taking him to Namsan and to the Han River."
Afterwards, Sean went for a walk with Leo at Namsan and said, "I definitely feel he's grown a lot since the first time he came. He was really a baby back then. I met him after he turned 1 year old. He was born on Oct. 28, 2020, so he'll be 5 in a month. Since he's a toy poodle, poodles are dogs that forage for mushrooms and such and really like sniffing. Hyeyoung was originally very afraid of dogs. When she was young she almost got bitten by a big dog, so she has trauma and always said she could never raise a dog. But our kids like animals and wanted to raise one. Hyeyoung said she could never raise a dog, but she happened to meet Leo and now she's completely into dogs and watches a lot of dog videos," he said.
When asked to "tell the adoption story in detail," Sean said, "A friend of Hyeyoung's asked if she wanted to try raising a dog, if she'd adopt one. Hyeyoung said she couldn't raise a dog, but the friend said it was such a pretty dog, and because Hyeyoung's heart is soft she said she'd just look at it once, so she went to see it and the moment she saw Leo she fell for him. Leo just does such pretty things. There's no other dog so gentle. Sometimes when we have to travel abroad we leave him with a friend, and that family is totally taken with him and keeps talking about Leo and asking when we'll travel again. They said for a dog like Leo they'd be delighted to have him," he said, revealing his proud parent side.
