Brooklyn, the eldest son of soccer star David Beckham, praised his wife Nicola Peltz and expressed affection amid reports of a rift with his family.
The foreign outlet Daily Mail reported on the 24th (local time) that Brooklyn Beckham seemed largely unconcerned about the family feud. In an interview with the outlet, he mentioned his wife, actress Nicola Peltz.
According to the report, Brooklyn Beckham reacted to rumors and various speculations that he had cut contact with his parents David and Victoria Beckham by saying, "People always talk about useless things."
Brooklyn said, "There will always be people who say negative things, but I have a very supportive wife. My wife and I just do our work, quietly work, and live happily," and added, "We just try to have fun playing golf with friends," updating on his current situation.
Brooklyn said he would soon return to Los Angeles to be with his wife Nicola Peltz, noting, "I left my wife alone at home with our four dogs, so I have to go back to help and restart work." Even amid the feud with his family, he appeared to rely heavily on his wife.
Earlier, foreign outlets such as Page Six reported that Brooklyn had grown distant from his parents and siblings, saying it was because he had grown closer to his in-laws, including his father-in-law Nelson Peltz, and other members of his wife's family. They claimed it was "all an issue surrounding the 'Brand Beckham.'"
In particular, reports of a conflict between his mother Victoria and his wife Nicola Peltz surfaced from around the time of the 2022 wedding, and in April it was reported that his younger brother Romeo Beckham cut contact over an issue involving his girlfriend Kim Turnbull, fueling the feud rumors.
Brooklyn and Nicola did not attend important family moments such as father David's 50th birthday or the bestowal of a knighthood-like honor, and David Beckham and his wife were also reportedly absent from the renewal of vows ceremony for their eldest son and daughter-in-law.
