Singer-songwriter Lee Seung-yoon demonstrated his prowess as a "performance powerhouse" with a band sound that transcends borders.
Lee Seung-yoon met local audiences after attending the Reeperbahn Festival 2025 in Hamburg, Germany, on the 18th and the 2025 K-INDIE ON Festival in Berlin on the 21st (local time).
First, the Reeperbahn Festival is a large-scale music festival that began in Hamburg in 2006. Lee Seung-yoon delivered an explosive band sound on a stage that began with "Yeokseong" and continued through "Waterfall," drawing an enthusiastic response. In particular, he chose "PunKanon," a punk-style reinterpretation of "Cannon," a track from his third full-length album, as an encore, offering lasting emotion and resonance until the end.
Next, Lee Seung-yoon performed at the 2025 K-INDIE ON Festival, hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in Germany. With a set list that showcased a different charm from the Reeperbahn Festival, he gave audiences both sights and sounds to enjoy. Through songs such as "Home of Dreams," "To the Heart I Want to Reveal," and "SOLD OUT," Lee Seung-yoon presented an intense yet grand band sound, and notably during "Let's Fly," he went down into the audience to deliver a memorable performance, becoming one with the crowd.
Filled with trusted Lee Seung-yoon songs, the Reeperbahn Festival and the K-INDIE ON Festival, held in connection with Korea Spotlight, drew heated reactions with high levels of completion. Even though these were Lee Seung-yoon's first performances in Germany, they elicited great cheers not only from local audiences but also from music industry figures, showing unusual popularity. The two festivals were selected for the 2025 Korea Spotlight overseas popular music showcase project by Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and received various support, during which Lee Seung-yoon demonstrated overwhelming stage control and solidified his position as a "performance powerhouse."
Lee Seung-yoon has been expanding his global presence by consecutively appearing at international festivals. In May, he performed at the Road to Burak Taipei, a pre-event of the 2025 Busan International Rock Festival held in Taipei, and in July he appeared at Colours of Ostrava 2025 in the Czech Republic, uniting audiences worldwide and of all generations through music.
Demonstrating his strength as a "performance powerhouse" across domestic and international festivals, Lee Seung-yoon will passionately connect with audiences at the 2025 Busan International Rock Festival on Sept. 28. He is scheduled to participate in showcases in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, in October as part of Korea Spotlight, accelerating his global activities.
