Singer and actress Suzy had the spot that was suspected to be a conjunctival nevus on her eyeball removed, which has become a fresh topic of conversation.
On the 23rd, a video titled "Beginner YouTuber Who Met a Power Celebrity Part.1 l EP06 l Suzy l episode" was posted on HyunA's Julge channel.
That day, after returning from a photo shoot, Jo Hyun-ah said, "By the way, you removed the spot from your eye well." She meant there had been a spot on the eyeball. Suzy said, "I kind of liked the spot" and said, "I thought the spot on my eye wasn't bad?" and HyunA agreed, saying, "Suzy has that kind of thinking, she's the type who finds it cute."
The fact that Suzy underwent surgery to remove the "spot on the iris" was reported exclusively by OSEN in December last year.
At the time, Suzy's changed face became a hot topic on various online communities. Photos taken at events showed that the black spot that had long been sitting next to Suzy's iris had disappeared.
The spot beside Suzy's iris was a "conjunctival nevus," which occurs when melanocytes excessively produce and deposit pigment on the white of the eye. It usually occurs in only one eye and is an acquired spot most often found around the dark iris.
Vision and eyesight are both normal and there is no pain, but even without discomfort some people undergo removal of a conjunctival nevus for cosmetic reasons. Removal methods are reported to include laser excision and chemical peeling. The procedure time is short, about 5 to 10 minutes, and there are almost no side effects.
