On the 23rd SBS's new music audition our ballad aired for the first time.
The 18-year-old Lee Jun-seok, who said he entered KAIST early, said, "I graduated early from a science high school." Jeong Jae-hyung said it felt like seeing members of Peppertones, and Lee Jun-seok said they were seniors from his club, drawing warm reactions.
After choosing 015B's "On an empty street," Lee Jun-seok said the reason was, "It felt like the version of myself who studied alone and intensely during my school days. I had the perception that friends were rivals. Meeting friends while singing made me feel they were true friends."
When Lee Jun-seok's song began, the judges started to smile. Jeong Seung-hwan said, "Wow, nice." Lee Jun-seok, who had not received a big reaction until the end of the first verse, received a passing sign toward the end of the song, prompting applause.
Jun Hyun-moo said, "I gave the pass sign toward the end of the song. It came out to 102 votes. If three votes had been different, he would have been eliminated." Park Kyung-rim said, "When I heard the first phrase, 'precious,' 'a precious voice.' There's no vocal ornamentation. He sang like a college music festival contestant," and Jeong Seung-hwan said, "He was a vocal that hit our tastes. That's why we pressed quickly. The emotion felt like the 1990s, but the technique and vocal style felt like a trendy modern vocalist."
On the other hand, Jeong Jae-hyung sharply evaluated, "He has a very attractive introduction, but the vocal range to show variety was precarious."
