National team soccer player Son Heung-min confessed he has an "egennam" tendency.
On the afternoon of the 23rd, Son Heung-min appeared on "Mureupkak Doctor EP.1," released on the YouTube channel "HanaTV," and shared his concerns with Kang Ho-dong.
Kang Ho-dong reviewed Son Heung-min's soccer career and mentioned his World Cup performances. Son Heung-min opened up about his first World Cup appearance: "I went to the Brazil World Cup for the first time when I was 22. My heart was just pounding. 'World Cup? The 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup? Kang Ho-dong recalled the moment and mentioned Son Heung-min's tears. He said Son cried so much that players from other countries comforted him. Son Heung-min said, "First of all, I hate losing. Watching Son Heung-min cry easily, Kang Ho-dong asked, "F, right? You know MBTI," and Son Heung-min replied, "I'm F." Kang Ho-dong then mentioned the 2022 Qatar World Cup, when Son Heung-min played wearing a mask after an orbital fracture. Regarding the time Son Heung-min took off his mask during the group match against Portugal, he said, "I couldn't see well. I thought, 'I don't know. What am I saving for in this one match…' I took it off and ran while dribbling, but the referee came and said, 'What are you doing? It's dangerous. Put it back on quickly,' so I put it back on."
He described Hwang Hee-chan's winning-goal assist: "It must have been 60 to 70 meters. I stopped the ball near the opponent's penalty box, and there were four or five Portugal players surrounding it, so I stopped and looked thinking, 'How am I supposed to pass this?' Then I saw Hwang Hee-chan running. I looked at the ball and his legs and he passed it right between his legs. The guy had his legs spread just enough for the ball to fit. I could see it clearly."
About his fourth World Cup, the "2016 CONCACAF World Cup," Son Heung-min said, "To represent Korea four times is indescribable. It's hard to enjoy, but I want to try to enjoy it. I want the people of Korea to enjoy watching soccer. I think that is a dream I have not yet achieved as a national team player. It's a dream I haven't fully achieved yet," drawing attention.
