Group iKON member Koo Jun-hoe takes on varied acting roles.
Koo Jun-hoe appears in the Dramax X Wavve original drama "Danjoe" (directed by Choi Hyung-joon, written by Kim Dan-bi, produced by Tiger Studio), which premieres on the 24th.
"Danjoe" is a crime thriller about an unknown actor who loses both his family and his dream to phone-scamming fraud, infiltrates a massive phone-scamming organization using deepfake technology and embarks on a life-risking revenge. Recently, as phone scamming and AI-based crimes have emerged as serious social problems, it has aroused curiosity even before its release.
In the drama, Koo Jun-hoe is expected to deliver a passionate performance as Park Jung-hoon, an elite and handsome detective who graduated top of his class from the police academy. He is expected to bring tension to the story as he spares no means to uncover the organization's reality alongside Ha So-min (played by Lee Joo-young).
In addition, Koo Jun-hoe drew intense interest from overseas fans through a previously released teaser video. As this is his first time tackling the genre, he promised an expanded acting range unseen before, increasing prospective viewers' curiosity.
So far, Koo Jun-hoe has shown steady acting across television and film, from ENA's "Bora! Deborah" to Channel A's "Get Married YOU" and the movie "Again 1997." Having built a filmography across various genres and proven his potential as an actor, attention is focused on what kind of performance he will deliver in "Danjoe."
Meanwhile, "Danjoe," featuring Koo Jun-hoe, will be released sequentially every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:30 p.m. on Wavve and at 9:40 p.m. on Dramax.
