The group RIIZE (RIIZE, part of SME) is successfully carrying out its first world tour.
RIIZE held the first world tour concert "RIIZING LOUD" at Bangkok Impact Arena on the 20th and 21st, selling out both days and finishing the performances to the cheers of about 22,000 spectators.
At the press conference before the first day's performance, about 90 outlets attended, from 17 broadcasters including Thailand's public broadcasters Channel 3 and Channel 7, nine newspapers including Thairath, Daily News and Matichon, 12 magazines including Praew and Sudsapda, and 50 online media including TrueID Music, TofuPOP and Sanook, showing strong interest in RIIZE.
RIIZE expressed their aspiration, saying, "Returning to Bangkok since the fan con in July last year, you will see how much we have grown in that time," and in the following performance they drew attention with stages showcasing various charms, including the title track of their first full-length album "Fly Up" and "Combo," "Boom Boom Bass," "Love 119," "Talk Saxy," and "Get A Guitar," with performances reminiscent of a youth musical.
Fans could not take their eyes off the stage and expressed their affection for the members at record-breaking decibel levels, and in addition to sing-along events for "Memories" and "The end of every day," they moved RIIZE with a fourth-floor central section light box reading LET's RISE ♥ and hand banners with the phrases "Fly far away; whenever you look back, Breeze will always be here" and "Fly high; Breeze will support RIIZE's wings."
Also, after the concert on the 22nd, RIIZE held a signing event at the famous Siam Paragon shopping mall that again drew a large crowd, and a 170-pyeong pop-up store that began on the 18th featuring first full-length album merchandise, character "LIRAZ" merchandise tailored to Thai culture, and the RIIZE special macaron collection in collaboration with the popular local macaron brand SOURI also received explosive response.
RIIZE is set to perform on Oct. 4 (local time) at the Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL) in Austin, Texas, becoming the first K-pop idol to appear there.
