The group XG captivated fans worldwide with the music video for the pre-release track "GALA" from their first full-length album.
XG (Juryn, Chisa, Hinata, Harvey, Julia, Maiya, Kokona) pre-released "GALA," a track from their first full-length album, on the 19th. After its release, "GALA" surpassed 2 million music video views (as of 11 a.m. on the 22nd) and ranked on the YouTube Trending Charts in 21 countries and regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan.
At the same time, "GALA" entered the New Music Friday playlists on Spotify in 21 countries and regions, including global, demonstrating its worldwide impact. The rapidly rising "GALA" music video captured fans' attention with high-fashion performances that only XG can deliver, engaging viewers' eyes and ears across the globe.
Overseas media, including The Hollywood Reporter and StyleCaster, took notice of "GALA." In particular, XG member Maiya told The Hollywood Reporter that "'GALA' was inspired by the Met Gala. We tried so many new things in choreography, music and fashion, and I'm really happy we could show them." Member Kokona also said the group tried voguing, breakdancing and acrobatics, mentioning the effort put into the performance.
Riding the popularity of the pre-release track "GALA" from their first full-length album, XG is offering a variety of visual content for each member to captivate fans. Starting with Juryn, XG will release additional visual photos of each member for "GALA," solidifying XG's futuristic identity with original content.
In October, XG will continue with the CHINA FESTIVAL TOUR in four Chinese cities. XG will perform on Oct. 2 at Beijing's MDSK Music Festival, Oct. 4 at Guangzhou's Strawberry Music Festival, Oct. 7 at Luzhou Galaxy Left Bank Music Festival in Luzhou, and Oct. 19 at the Celebili Music Festival in Shanghai to meet audiences.
