Song Ji-hyo recently launched an underwear brand and has transformed into a businesswoman. On why she chose an underwear brand, Song Ji-hyo said, "Showy underwear can be nice for events, but the underwear I wear every day is the first piece of clothing I put on, so I wanted it to be comfortable and feel good to wear. I chose underwear because I wanted to make something that would shape my body while being comfortable to wear."
In particular, Song Ji-hyo said, "I thought about it consistently for eight years, looked at fabrics and went to Dongdaemun to get materials and tried it on my own. Sewing and doing things as a hobby was one thing, but when it came to selling and looking at the completeness, I felt I couldn't do it by myself, so I set up a company. I just didn't talk about that process. I was actually embarrassed to spread it around and felt like I was showing off," explaining that the business was the result of long deliberation rather than a sudden choice.
In the early days of the business, sales were sluggish at about one to two items a day, but she said that recently the brand has shaken off poor sales and gained popularity.
