First Ride, the much-talked-about film opening on Oct. 29 (Wed) (directed by Nam Dae-joong, distributed by ㈜SHOWBOX, produced by Brain Shower·TH Story), revealed the unbearably funny moments in the movie selected directly by the actors.
First Ride is a comedy about 24-year friends who are even funnier together — Tae-jung (a man who sees things through) (Kang Ha-neul), Do-jin (a bright-hearted man) (Kim Young-kwang), Yeon-min (a handsome man) (Cha Eun-woo), Geum-bok (a man who sleeps with his eyes open) (Kang Young-seok), and Ok-sim (a lovable woman) (Han Sun-hwa) — embarking on their first overseas trip.
Kang Ha-neul, Kim Young-kwang, Cha Eun-woo, Kang Young-seok and Han Sun-hwa each picked a "unbearable to hold in laughter" moment from First Ride that will have theatergoers bursting into laughter this fall. The newly released video contains the film's unique laugh points that are fun even if you watch without knowing them, and even more fun if you know the background.
First, Kang Ha-neul, who plays Tae-jung, the man who sees things through, shows an intelligent side as he takes on the role of a character who achieved a perfect score on the college entrance exam and even secured a position as a parliamentary aide. He himself said, "Because I look like this, playing an intelligent role makes it fun because it doesn't suit me," adding that he plans to properly make the audience laugh with his unexpected charm in this work.
Next, Kim Young-kwang, who plays Do-jin, the bright-hearted man with no worries or concerns, cited the "sum of the friends" — the exceptional chemistry among them — as a laugh point. As the actors had strong chemistry on set, it was predicted that each character would deliver big laughs, raising expectations. Kang Young-seok, who plays Geum-bok, the man who sleeps with his eyes open, mentioned the performances of supporting actors, including Ko Gyu-pil, and explained that not only the leads but also the supporting actors are perfectly funny, which is a laugh point of First Ride.
