Broadcaster Lee Sugeun's wife, Park Ji-yeon, personally shared an update one month after her kidney transplant and received support from fans and acquaintances.
On the 22nd, Park Ji-yeon posted on her personal channel a photo from an outing with the caption "one month since the transplant, 10 minutes of happiness." She said, "I still can't stay long in crowded places, so I left in a hurry in less than 10 minutes. I brought my new bag and the red bag that kept catching my eye, but it was truly a happy outing," and showed a bright smile.
She added, "I didn't tell anyone in advance because I didn't know how my condition would be, but they cried as soon as they saw me in front of the store. The three of them were crying together, which must have made my husband feel a little awkward. Above all, I'm recovering well thanks to the support of many people. I am deeply grateful," expressing thanks to those who worried about her health.
In the photos released together, Park Ji-yeon was seen going out with her husband, Lee Sugeun, and drew attention with a noticeably relaxed expression while wearing a mask.
Park Ji-yeon experienced kidney damage from complications of preeclampsia during her second pregnancy in 2011 and received a kidney transplant from her father, but her condition did not remain stable, and she underwent kidney dialysis treatment for more than 10 years. Then in August she received another kidney transplant from her biological older brother and underwent a second surgery, and she is currently focusing on recovery.
After a difficult time, Park Ji-yeon is gradually returning to daily life and has reassured fans by sharing healthy updates, receiving messages of relief and encouragement at the same time.
