Actor Choi Gwi-hwa's good deed is being spotlighted again. The story is that when a staff member who supported their family's livelihood faced a bleak situation while battling female cancer, he helped cover the surgery costs, and many are expressing support for his reversal from the strong impression he left as a villain.
On the 22nd, on the YouTube channel KBS Entertain, Go So-young's Pub Restaurant featured actors Choi Gwi-hwa and Park Ji-hwan, who appear in Disney+ The Murky Stream, and they shared various stories with Go So-young.
Born in 1978 Choi Gwi-hwa and born in 1980 Park Ji-hwan respectfully called the 1972-born Go So-young senior, and at times praised her as a "goddess," delivering flattering lines. When Go So-young reluctantly said, "Should I call you juniors?" Choi Gwi-hwa and Park Ji-hwan lightened the mood by saying, "You can call out 'yeobwara' if you like," and joked that the prepared bouquet could not play the role of flowers in front of Go So-young's beauty.
Choi Gwi-hwa, who left a deep impression as a villain in films such as The Outlaws and more recently in the drama Bon Appetit, Your Majesty. But when they opened up, he was full of good deeds. Park Ji-hwan said, "He shares and takes care of people well. If a friend runs a clothing brand, he doesn't just accept things; he buys them and shares them with juniors. He even brings food and shares it."
Especially, Go So-young revealed a good deed involving one staff member. She said a female staff member who was supporting her mother and herself grew desperate when she was battling female cancer, and Choi Gwi-hwa willingly paid for the surgery; she is now healthy and working hard.
Choi Gwi-hwa showed humility, saying, "One day I noticed her complexion didn't look good. When I asked, she told me her situation, so I just helped as much as I could. I even got a KakaoTalk message the day before yesterday saying she's healthy now and working hard."
Choi Gwi-hwa, who warmed hearts with his good deed, also surprised as a father who is like a friend at home. The father of two sons and one daughter described himself as "a nonauthoritarian father who communicates well," and said, "I received a letter from my son; he thanked me for talking to him well." In particular, Choi Gwi-hwa moved people with the story of moving to a larger house for his children.
