Singer-songwriter Shin Seung-hoon reaffirms his reputation as the "king of ballads" with a full-length album that condenses his 35-year musical journey.
Shin Seung-hoon will release his 12th full-length album, SINCERELY MELODIES, at 6 p.m. today (23rd) on various music streaming sites. It is the first time in about 10 years that Shin Seung-hoon has released a full-length album since his 11th full-length album, I am...&I am.
Shin Seung-hoon showcased musical confidence with double title tracks "The gravity called you" and "TRULY." The first title track, "The gravity called you," is a song that unfolds the emotions that rush in at the start and end of love and afterward through the melody of acoustic guitar and the harmony of electric guitar. By contrast, the second title track, "TRULY," fully captures Shin Seung-hoon's heartfelt sincerity. In particular, through the two title tracks, Shin Seung-hoon sketches the definition of love and parting itself, allowing listeners to glimpse a deeper attitude toward life.
In addition, SINCERELY MELODIES includes "She Was," a comforting and consoling message for those who live sacrificing themselves; "Luv Playlist," which blends an unlimited musical spectrum in the city pop genre Shin Seung-hoon tries for the first time since his debut; "Moment of the star," which talks about the importance of decisive choices in life; and "Learning to part," the essence of Shin Seung-hoon–style ballad in which a plaintive voice adds lingering emotion.
Also included are "At the end, to each other," which shows outstanding arranging skills by using the retro-sounding Mellotron instrument; "That day's us," a song like a timely rain that evokes nostalgia for rainy days; "With Me," which expresses gratitude to the fans who have accompanied him so far; "About Time," with the clear, pure quality of Shin Seung-hoon's voice that feels like a reimagining of the film About Time; and "Like a lone flower blooming at that cliff's edge," an orchestral ballad that uplifts every listener's self-esteem and grandly concludes the album—11 tracks in total filled with a variety of genres.
The 12th full-length album, SINCERELY MELODIES, is a full-length album released to commemorate Shin Seung-hoon's 35th debut anniversary and carries the meaning of a "melody completed from the heart." Shin Seung-hoon participated in producing and composing all the tracks, promising to present the essence of "Shin Seung-hoon music." By concentrating his abilities as a singer-songwriter, Shin Seung-hoon is expected to deliver a moving experience akin to watching a well-made film.
Meanwhile, Shin Seung-hoon's 12th full-length album, SINCERELY MELODIES, will be released at 6 p.m. today (23rd) on various music streaming sites.
