Actor Lee Jun-young and IVE member Jang Won-young will host the "Music Bank Global Festival in Japan."
On the 23rd, OSEN reported that Lee Jun-young and Jang Won-young were chosen as MCs for KBS 2TV's "Music Bank Global Festival in Japan" (abbreviated Music Bank Global Festival), to be held Dec. 13 and 14 at the Tokyo National Stadium.
The "Music Bank Global Festival" is a mega-stage KBS has offered since 2023 during the year-end awards season, the "Gayo Daechukje," alternating between Korea and Japan. In Korea it is presented as the Gayo Daechukje Global Festival, and in Japan as the "Music Bank Global Festival in Japan," billed as a K-pop celebration that spans all generations and the world.
Among them, Jang Won-young has experience as the 37th host of KBS 2TV music show "Music Bank" in 2021 and has served as an MC for the Gayo Daechukje since 2021. She is a member of the popular K-pop girl group IVE and will appear again this year as an MC for the year-end Gayo Daechukje at the "Music Bank Global Festival."
Joining her is rising star Lee Jun-young. A former member of the idol group U-KISS, Lee Jun-young has appeared in Netflix series D.P., When Life Gives You Tangerines, and Weak Hero Class 2. He also formed a connection with KBS as the male lead of the drama 24-Hour Health Club. Moreover, recently he served as an MC for the 2025 MBC University Song Festival and appeared in MBC variety show Hangout with Yoo's "80s Seoul Kayo Festival," showing his ties to music as a singer and actor.
Furthermore, the "Music Bank Global Festival" expanded this year and chose the Tokyo National Stadium as its stage. The stadium is a super-sized venue that can accommodate more than 60,000 spectators and is known locally as a place where it is difficult to obtain performance permits. That it is considered a "dream stage" even for Japanese singers raises curiosity about what kind of two-shot Lee Jun-young and Jang Won-young will show as MCs.
