TV personality Yoon Jeong-su explained why he still can't throw away clothes and other items even though it has been nine years since his mother passed away.
On the 22nd episode of TV CHOSUN's "Lover of Joseon," which aired on the 22nd, it depicted Yoon Jeong-su about two months away from marriage.
About two months before his wedding, Yoon Jeong-su was drying laundry on as many as four drying racks in his spacious living room. Because he sweats a lot and showers frequently and also lays them on the bed, Yoon Jeong-su introduced the house he said he had stretched himself to prepare. The four roomy rooms were being used for various purposes. Yoon Jeong-su even kept a 20-year-old remote control, and the place was full of odds and ends that needed organizing.
Earlier, after going bankrupt and losing his Cheongdam-dong penthouse at auction, Yoon Jeong-su revealed his bankruptcy papers, saying, "Even though 10 years have passed, my belongings haven't decreased," to pull himself together. Looking at the many documents, Yoon Jeong-su wryly noted, "How many documents would there be if you were going to lose all your assets?" Kim Guk-jin recalled, "We were in the same agency then so we went on an MT together, and his expression was very bad." Yoon Jeong-su, who restored his credit after paying off his debts in 2016, said he tore up and burned only the notes listing borrowed money among the bankruptcy-related materials. About his difficulty letting go, Yoon Jeong-su said, "I have no siblings, so there was no one to explain things about me. If I don't write things down about myself, there's no one to tell them. As I get older my memory is getting worse, and if my parents were here they would tell me, but my mother was deaf and couldn't." He expressed his longing for his mother.
Yoon Jeong-su, whose mother died in 2016, still keeps the clothes his mother wore to this day. Yoon Jeong-su said, "I was going to burn one each at the memorial rites, but they held a sense of atmosphere and seemed to smell like my mother, so I couldn't burn them." He recalled his mother's clothes and memories from that time, and with moist eyes said, "If my mother was sick, as her child I feel sorry. Doesn't it seem like I didn't take good care of her?"
